TENOBARTM
TAT designed its owned intercell bus bar system in order to enhance the current distribution and efficiency through the EW cell. Optimizing the copper weight per Cathode and decreasing costs. The TENOBARTM system includes an equalizing bar permitting double contact on the anode and therefore:
- Decreases stray currents
- Increases the anode life
- Increases copper quality.
- Decreases electrical energy consumption
“BUTTONS" TECHNOLOGY
When Co or Ni plate out from Sulphate solutions a lot of stresses are created in the metal, meaning that it will not attach easily to the cathode, necessitating the use of starter sheets for Nickel or “wrapping” the metal around the cathode for Co which then has to be chiseled off.
Tenova’s “Buttons” technology uses masked cathodes, the metal plates out as round “Buttons” on the unmasked areas of the Cathode. Even though the “Buttons” are firmly attached the Cathode they can be stripped with ease, yielding an attractive, regular highly saleable product.
