The Chinese Society for Metals will host the 5th China Electric Furnace Steelmaking Science Development Forum in Nanjing from September 11-13, 2024. Focused on "Low-Cost Electric Furnace Steelmaking Achieves Green Steel in the Future", the forum will feature discussions on national policies, advancements in smelting technology, scrap material application, and environmental issues. The event will also include the 3rd National Electric Furnace Steelmaking Plant Director Work Symposium, where industry leaders will discuss cost optimization, scrap steel usage, and the future of electric furnace steelmaking.
Andrea Grasselli, Tenova's Head of Proposal Department EAFs and LFs, will attend the event delivering two presentations:
- "Efficient and reliable green transition of the steel industry: the Tenova's approach"
- "Sustainable production of steel: Tenova's Consteel® EAF equipped with Consteerrer® electromagnetic stirring system"
