The Sponge Iron Manufacturers Association is organizing the 5th India International DRI Summit to be held on September 30, 2022, at the Hotel Taj Palace, Diplomatic Enclave, New Delhi. This Summit will bring together Indian government and international stakeholders to discuss the fast changing raw materials, technology, energy and environmental scenarios in a time when DRI demand is expected to grow worldwide.
During the event, Praveen Chaturvedi, Vice President at Tenova Technologies Pvt Ltd, will be among the speakers presenting "Direct Reduced Iron and its future in Steelmaking: The use of Hydrogen for Green Steel Production". Tenova is an enabler of the metals industry's energy transition through several different technologies for decarburization and emission reduction. Among this, the ENERGIRON® technology (jointly developed by Tenova and Danieli) is very efficient in terms of energy consumption and scheme simplicity. Any proportion of NG and H2 from 0% to 100% can be fed to the DR plant without any change of the process configuration or plant equipment.
