AIST Foundation's mission is to ensure that the future iron and steel industry will have a sustainable supply of qualified experts by providing programs to inform the general public about the advanced, multifaceted, and rewarding aspects of careers in steel manufacturing.
On October 2, two events will take place at the Materials Science & Technology technical meeting and exhibition (MS&T23) in Columbus, Ohio:
- The University-Industry Relations Roundtable (UIRR) strives to foster dialogue between the university network and the steel sector. This is achieved by strengthening the presence of professors offering steel-related courses, thereby stimulating students' interest in pursuing careers within the steel industry.
- The Steel-to-Students Recruiting Reception offers steel-producing and steel-related companies a chance to connect with approximately 200 materials science and engineering students who are interested in securing an internship or job in the industry.
Tenova Inc. HR representative Michela Macchi, Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist, will attend the events looking for young and passionate students eager to explore internship and employment opportunities within Tenova.
