The European Steel Technology Platform (ESTEP) Spring Dissemination Event 2023 will be held in person on March 29-30, 2023 at the Aula Magna of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (SSSA) in Pisa. The event's goal is to celebrate the ESTEP community and its 5th anniversary, while also disseminating findings and expertise obtained from research and innovation projects relevant to the steel industry.
Tenova will participate in the event with our R&D Director Enrico Malfa, who will deliver a presentation titled "Development of a new burner concept: Industry 4.0 technologies applied to the best available combustion system for the Steel Industry” as coordinator of the project RFCS BURNER 4.0. This cutting-edge initiative seeks to integrate additive manufacturing for component performance improvement, Internet of Things, Smart Sensors, Big Data Analytics for process optimization and predictive maintenance into existing combustion systems, resulting in a game-changing burner idea for the steel industry. Our partners will carry out more interesting presentations about the projects we collaborate on, such as ReMFra coordinated by Tenaris, HyTecHeat coordinated by Rina CSM, and iSlag coordinated by SSSA.
