The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) promote the study of treating metals and alloys. It organizes the international conference on Reducing Carbon Footprint in Metal Industries which aims to bring together engineers, companies and experts to talk about the solutions available to reduce the metals industry's carbon footprint.
During the event, Praveen Chaturvedi, Vice President at Tenova Technologies Pvt Ltd, will be among the speakers presenting "Pathways for decarbonization of the steelmaking industry". Tenova is an enabler of the metals industry's energy transition through several different technologies for decarburization and emission reduction. Among this, iBLUE® technology can substitute any blast furnace while massively reducing emissions: a flexible solution that combines production of high carbon DRI using hydrogen from blast furnace grade iron ore pellets with electric arc melter to produce hot metal & granulated slag.
