In 2015, Tenova began the evaluation of Additive Manufacturing (AM) as one of the Industry 4.0’s potential disruptive technologies as an alternative to the traditional manufacturing process, trying to internalize the related value chain benefits and create new business opportunities. Today, the company is able to design the production process for feed materials used by 3D printers and has applied some patents for an innovative powder production system.
