The 153rd TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition brings together over 4000 engineers, scientists, business leaders, and other professionals involved in the minerals, metals, and materials sectors. TMS2024 will showcase over 90 symposia organized by each of the five TMS technical divisions, addressing a diverse array of topics within minerals, metals, and materials science and engineering. This event, held from March 3 to 7 in Orlando, Florida, facilitates a comprehensive and cross-disciplinary sharing of technical knowledge.
Tenova will participate in the event with booth n. 316. In addition, Hugo Joubert, General Manager Base Metals at Tenova Pyromet, will be among the organizers of the Technical Topic "Materials Synthesis and Processing - Advances in Pyrometallurgy: Furnace Containment". This symposium aims to provide a platform for sharing ideas and experiences related to challenges, solutions, and successes in furnace containment designs. It will bring together perspectives from industry, design houses, and research institutions.
Hugo Joubert will present the paper "Composite copper-graphite cooler for PGM furnace sidewall” and also do a Keynote Address titled "Reflections on the design of cooling systems for furnace containment".
