Saskia Essack, R&D Engineer at Tenova Pyromet

As a graduate Mechanical Engineer, I joined Tenova Pyromet in 2006 in the role of project co-ordinator responsible for integrating CE certification requirements into our engineering documentation processes.

In the 15 years since I joined Tenova, I have worked in a number of different areas within the company in a technical role supporting many projects, studies, marketing activities and R&D projects. Through the various roles, I have had opportunities to travel to many different parts of the world (Belgium, Canada, China, Italy, Norway, South Korea, USA).

In 2014, I joined the High Tech program and through this I was able to meet many colleagues from around the world and form some lasting friendships. For the last decade, I have been part of the R&D division working closely with projects to continually improve our technology offering to the Smelter industry.

Working for Tenova has been, and continues to be, an interesting and challenging journey allowing me to grow skills in different ways over the years.
