Carbon Baking Car Bottom Furnace
The Tenova carbon baking car bottom furnace has been used for over 50 years by many of the major graphite electrode producers and fine grain specialty carbon producers worldwide. Tenova’s furnace give superior product uniformity with low energy consumption. Heat recovery from the thermal oxidizer can be used for production of steam, hot heat transfer fluids or preheating of product.
Overview
The Tenova car bottom furnace for carbon baking can be used for both first baking and re-baking operations. The furnace can be sized to suit the product and has been used for both electrode production and fine grained carbon production. The furnace uses high convection heating to optimize cycle times and give more uniform product quality.
Technical Data
Superior product temperature uniformity
- ±20⁰ C for electrodes
- ±7.5⁰ C for fine grain special carbon
Automatic cycle control by PLC
