Recoiling – Inspection – Corrective Lines
Recoiling Lines identify a group of discontinuous lines that, in the simplest configuration, perform the uncoiling and recoiling the coils and divide the incoming coil in smaller out-coming coils.
Overview
Recoiling lines are designed to:
- enable quality inspection of the strip passing through vertical or horizontal inspection stands, taking the designation of Inspection Lines
- integrate some specific corrective sections, taking the designation of Repairing or corrective Lines
Commonly corrective items are:
- Trimming section to trim the strip to desired width
- Tension levelling section to correct the flatness of the strip.
A particular application is the Continuous Recoiling Line which equipped entry & exit accumulator and may integrate corrective section (Trimming & levelling) and inspection stands in the continuous part of the line
The recoiling lines configuration differ one from the other depending on input materials characteristics, position is the flow chart of the Steel plant.
