Castellanza, June 29, 2026 - Tenova, a leading developer and provider of sustainable solutions for the green transition of the metals industry, through its U.S. subsidiary Tenova Inc., will supply the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) revamp for Tenaris' steel mill in Koppel, Pennsylvania. The project supports Tenaris' broader investment program to enhance productivity, reliability, and employee safety across its Pennsylvania operations.
The project follows Tenaris' recent announcement of more than $90 million in planned investments at its Koppel steel shop and seamless pipe facility in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. The EAF revamp represents a key component of this modernization program and reflects the long-standing collaboration between the two companies.
Under the contract, Tenova will provide engineering, equipment supply, and commissioning services, delivering advanced solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and safeguarding critical equipment.

A key feature of the revamp will be the implementation of an advanced water flow measurement system for the furnace upper shell. The innovative design will provide highly accurate monitoring and control of cooling water circuits, contributing to greater operational stability and optimized process conditions.
The project further demonstrates Tenova's ability to deliver advanced steelmaking technologies that help customers enhance performance, reliability, and competitiveness. Upon completion, the upgraded Electric Arc Furnace will contribute to increased operational efficiency and continued production excellence at the Koppel facility, supporting Tenaris' ongoing efforts to meet the evolving needs of its customers.
