The Italian Metallurgy Association (AIM)will hold its 41st National Metallurgy Conference, scheduled for September 9-11, 2026, in Brescia, Italy: a special edition that coincides with the 80th anniversary of the founding of AIM and aims to celebrate the history and future of Italian metallurgy. In this context, the conference aims to be an opportunity not only to promote discussion among researchers active in the field of metallurgy, but also to bring together the worlds of research and production, addressing key issues for the future of the sector, such as green transition in steelmaking, with a focus on decarbonization and the circular economy; advanced materials for the automotive and heavy industries; digitalization and Industry 4.0 in metallurgical processes; the Brescia district as a model of resilience, supply chain, and competitiveness.
