April 20, 2023
Online event

Steel Times International has planned a webinar for April 20, Thursday afternoon, at 14:00 GMT. The online event, titled "Direct Reduced Iron Webinar", focuses on the numerous advantages of using DRI in steelmaking, including low residual element content, predictable mass and heat balances, ease of handling, melt consistency, and the ability to be continuously fed to the furnace.

Armando Vazquez, Senior Business Development Manager at Tenova Goodfellow Inc., will deliver a presentation titled “Increasing EAF productivity while reducing operating costs using DRI and other charge mix combinations with Tenova’s dynamic process control”. The focus of the speech is Tenova’s off-gas dynamic process control, a technology that responds to scrap market volatility and DRI conditions, which induce steelmakers to make abrupt changes to the implemented sequences in order to complete an operation. In addition, it allows for an automatic calculation of EAF timing providing excellent process control as well as outstanding results. This presentation will explain Tenova’s technology and the latest project results.
