ESTEP Annual Event 2024, focused on how hydrogen and the circular economy can contribute to greener steel production, will take place in Linz, Austria, starting on October 29, 2024, with a tour of voestalpine's steelmaking facilities. This will be followed by a two-day conference on October 30 and 31. The goal of the event is to bring together people from the European steel industry to discuss how to make steel production cleaner. Topics will include using hydrogen and recycling processes to reduce environmental impact. The event will also celebrate ESTEP's 20th anniversary and will include other industries involved in the European Green Deal, such as cement, water, and aluminum.
Tenova will attend the event as follows on October 31:
- Salvatore Nardi, R&D Engineer, will participate in a panel discussion on NOx Emissions and emission limits, Digital Tools, and KPIs of the included projects.
- Mattia Bissoli, Tenova's Global R&D Senior Scientist, will present: "CFD modelling of flameless combustion: from natural gas to hydrogen".
