The Clean Steel Partnership was formally launched in June 2021 in the frame of Horizon Europe in synergy with the Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS). The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by representatives of the European Commission and the European Steel Technology Platform (ESTEP), of which Tenova is founding member.
In June, as part of the EU Green Week 2022 Partner Event, ESTEP will hold a webinar with focus on "The Clean Steel Partnership: a driver to net zero, from research to deployment of ground-breaking technologies for steel".
Next to sharing insights from the policy side, the speakers – among them there are some Tenova representative too - will take the attendees on a captivating journey through ten innovative low-carbon projects and company pathways towards net zero, ranging from smart carbon utilization of waste gases to green pig iron production, hydrogen solutions for steelmaking and many more.
Participation is free but registration is needed.
