The Joint Meeting of the Belgian and Italian Sections of the Combustion Institute, comprising the 45th Annual Meeting of the Italian Section (ASICI), will be held in Florence, Italy, from May 28-31, 2023. Its goal is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and discussion among scientists and technologists working in the field of combustion, in all of its fundamental and applied aspects, as well as in related fields (pyrolysis, gasification, fuel processing, and upgrading), with a focus on low-emission and sustainable technologies.
Alessandro Della Rocca, Tenova Italimpianti's Business Development Manager and active member of the Combustion Institute, and Davide Astesiano, Tenova Italimpianti's R&D Manager, will take part in the meeting delivering two presentations:
- "The Decarbonization of Steel Heating Processes – Tenova Simulation/Experimentation Model for the Net-Zero Challenge" - Della Rocca
- "Tenova ultra low NOx regenerative burners working with hydrogen and oxygen enrichment" - Astesiano
They will also be involved in the industrial panel discussing the application potential of ammonia combustion in the steel industry.
