The Workshop "Varese hydrogen ecosystem: expanding opportunities and boosting synergies" aims to present the TH2ICINO project on March 11, in Busto Arsizio (VA), Italy. The project is committed to developing a hydrogen ecosystem near Malpensa Airport, strategically positioned along the Ticino River between Malpensa and Milan, in the province of Varese. The project aims to create, expand, and showcase a scalable micro hydrogen ecosystem that integrates the entire value chain.
Tenova will participate in the event with Enrico Malfa, R&D Director, who will present the HyTecHeat project - funded by Horizon Europe and developed in collaboration with Snam and De Nora. The project aims to drive innovation in steel production through hydrogen utilization. The presentation will showcase the demonstration plant in Castellanza as a model for the full decarbonization process, emphasizing the advanced technologies and technical solutions implemented, along with the key challenges and future prospects for transforming the steel industry.
