This mill is key in achieving the desired mechanical properties and surface qualities for a broad spectrum of materials, including, but not limited to, low to high carbon steels, advanced high strength steel, semi-processed silicon steel, stainless steels, aluminium alloys, and other materials.
This machine's versatility is designed to meet the market’s constantly evolving demands. Its engineering is adaptable, allowing for customization to achieve specific outcomes and process different materials and dimensions (width, thickness, and mechanical properties). The Skin Pass Mill is capable of targeting various objectives, such as refining material properties by suppressing Lüders bands, imparting precise roughness to prepare the strip for further coatings or achieving BA/2B quality in stainless steel, and improving strip flatness through precise strip elongation. The Skin Pass/Temper Mills allow metal strip manufacturers to serve various markets (e.g., Automotive, Wite Goods, Home Appliance, Energy, etc.) and Downstream processes (e.g., Galvanising Lines, Colour Coating Lines, service centres, etc.).

Our Skin Pass/Temper Mill incorporates the latest technological advancements and comprises the following key components:
- Entry/Exit Coil Handling Section: Walking beam, coil cars, preparation station, inspection station, automatic debander, weighing unit, marking unit, cradle rolls, and strapping machines.
- Uncoiling Section: Featuring a payoff reel, coil centre positioning system, paper winder, entry bridle roll / deflector roll, and automatic pup-coil/spool removal system.
- Coiling Section: Equipped with a tension reel, exit bridle roll / deflector roll, belt wrapper, automatic spool loading unit, paper unwinder, and coiling auxiliary devices.
- Entry and Exit Groups: Comprising shears, wet tempering system, drying system, roll polishing devices, strip cleaning device, automatic strip inspection unit, speed laser sensors for a close loop Elongation Control, Thickness Gauge, flatness roll, and tensiometer rolls.
- Mill Stand: designed in 6-high / 4-high / 2-high configuration, equipped with rolling force cylinders, and continuous wedge pass-line adjustment. They also include positive and negative work roll bending in Mae-West blocks, Roll Shifting, quick work roll changing system (side shifting), and work or back-up roll drive.
- Auxiliary Equimenpt: Consisting of high and low-pressure hydraulic systems, wet tempering system, air-oil lubrication unit, gear lube system, and a dust and fumes exhaust system.
