The steel-making company headquartered in Pohang, South Korea, acknowledges Pomini’s quality and reliability for the project carried out in Gwangyang Steelworks.
In September, POSCO held an official ceremony to celebrate an important milestone: its steel production facility in Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province, reached one million ton per year production capacity for GIGA steel, an ultrahigh-strength steel product used in the automotive industry to build stronger, safer and lighter vehicles for sustainable mobility.
In this framework, Pomini Tenova, worldwide leader in the production of roll grinders, received a special award as quality supplier by the South Korean steel producer. In 2019, Pomini was contracted to supply three roll grinding machines MW 479 for cold rolling cluster mill. The machines have been also equipped with Inspektor system using both Eddy Current e Creeping Wave technologies.
