At the trade fair, Tenova will present innovative solutions which create new pathways to green steelmaking that are revolutionizing the metals industry
Castellanza, May 4, 2023 - From 12 to 16 June, Tenova, a leader in innovative solutions for the metals and mining industries, will take over a 300 m2 booth (A21, Hall 4) at the eleventh edition of METEC 2023, showcasing the breadth of its green solutions. Held every four years in Düsseldorf, Germany, METEC is the world's leading trade fair for metallurgical technology. It is part of “The Bright World of Metals,” an international platform organized by the trade quartet GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST.
For this edition of the trade fair, Tenova’s motto is “Follow the beat”, indicating the beating heart underscoring the passion with which Tenova’s people dedicate themselves to helping drive the green metals transition by developing cutting-edge sustainable technologies. This passion and “human touch” are distinctive to Tenova, together with its highly skilled competencies and forward-thinking mindset.
“Tenova’s versatile and innovative technologies are creating new pathways to green steelmaking. They can directly reduce environmental impact, enhance circularity through recycling and reusing waste, and be used to produce metals crucial to the energy transition. Our strength lies in our multi-pronged approach: we partner with companies to develop customized solutions designed to reflect local conditions and sustainability regulations,” said Roberto Pancaldi, Tenova CEO, “without compromising with outdated and polluting technologies, which are completely absent from our portfolio”.
In line with its efforts to transform its industry, Tenova is also transforming its business by seeking ways to reduce its own environmental impact and to operate more efficiently. These will be highlighted in its forthcoming Sustainability Report. Tenova’s dedication to sustainability will also be weaved into the design of its booth: most of the furniture and digital screens will be rented out, as per Tenova's ongoing commitment to the Reduce-Reuse-Recycle and No Waste principles, and nothing will be thrown away after the event but used again or recycled.
The aim of the booth is to create a welcoming and warm space promoting dialogue and exchange with customers and the various stakeholders at the event. Visitors will be invited to attend a daily program of presentations at the Tenova Arena, led by the company’s experts and partners who will tackle some of the most critical issues in the steel industry. Lastly, visitors will also have the opportunity to delve into the company’s extensive portfolio through a live interaction with a digital human on vocal interaction with Artificial Intelligence.
The company’s booth will be included again in the ecoMetalsTrails, an initiative launched by Messe Düsseldorf to highlight outstanding innovations in the field of energy and resource efficiency, supporting companies that make a significant contribution to protecting the environment with a long-term vision.
Tenova will also take part in various parallel events during METEC. At the European Steel Technology and Application Days (ESTAD 2023), Europe’s largest steel conference, Tenova’s experts will give over 12 presentations including a keynote presentation spotlighting the company’s pragmatic, multi-pronged approach to sustainability with an emphasis on circularity and tailored solutions. In addition, Tenova’s experts will present four papers at the Thermprocess Forum, as well as take part in the EMC - European Metallurgical Conference with a presentation on sustainable thermoprocess solutions for the metals sector, and at the dissHEAT workshop with a presentation titled “Sustainable heating technologies for today and tomorrows metal industry”.
