Bright Annealing Lines
This line produces the smoothest surface of all cold rolled stainless steel products.
Annealing is made inside a muffle furnace having oxygen free atmosphere in order to avoid any formation of surface oxide.
Overview
Tenova Bright Annealing lines are designed with the following technologies:
- high efficiency cleaning section (double stage) with high efficiency brushes (conventional or brush to brush) and circulation system
- Brush consumption optimization (BCO) to have more uniform brush consumption
- alkaline solution filtration or ultrafiltration system (optional)
- waste water continuous filtration with resins bed plant (optional)
- improved looper with reduced inertia and friction
- accurate tension control through a dedicated Bridle and tension-meters design and control
- possibility to install a in line skin pass mill
Annealing is performed in a muffle furnace ( or alternative in electrical furnace) having controlled inert gas atmosphere without oxygen. Dew Point has to be at the lowest value so to have great brightness on the outgoing strip
The line is made by the following equipment:
- Double unwinding section with pay off reels and paper winders
- Threading section with peelers, pinch rolls, flatteners, conveyors and shears
- Welding section with centering devices
- Degreasing, rinsing and drying section
- Entry storage section with vertical accumulator, steering and bridle rolls
- Annealing section with vertical electrical furnace and jet cooling
- Exit storage with vertical accumulator, steering and bridle rolls
- Optional tension leveler / skin pass mill with auxiliary looper
- Exit Section with inspection station, exit shear, tension reel
- Paper unwinder

Width range: from 800 to 1575 mm
Speed = 30-75 m/min
Capacity: up to 90.000 tpy
