TR Flat Flame Roof Burners
Radiant Burners are design for installation on the furnace roof. They provide a highly efficient heat exchange between furnace and charge due to the special flame design and the high turbulence intensity of the flame.
Overview
TR burners are Tenova’s baseline solution for radiant roof designs. They generate a highly uniform heat flux distribution over the charge due to their specific flame design. In particular, two different types of radiant burners are installed on a radiant roof: one with the flame rotating in a clockwise direction and the other rotating in a counter-clockwise direction. This feature ensures a highly uniform heat flux distribution over the charge.
Technical Data
Main technical features:
- NOx emissions not dependent on air temperature and on burner load
- Very low CO emissions (below 5 ppm)
- Maximum fuel efficiency: low excess air operations
- Air preheating up to 550 °C
- Equipped with pilot burner and UV sensor, if required
Fuels: Natural Gas, COG, Lean Mixed Gas, Mixed gas, LPG, Heavy Fuel Oil and Light Fuel Oil (and hydrogen mixtures of them).
Turn down: 10%-100%.
Innovation
A special flame design is required to achieve a highly uniform heat distribution and intense heat flux with a high turbulence intensity.
CFD modelling is used for TR burner design in order to optimize the flame shape.
Environment
280 mg/Nm3 @ 3% O2 for Natural Gas
340 mg/Nm3 @ 3% O2 for COG (*)
The emissions are referred to these operating conditions:
- Air excess 5% (N.G.), 7% (COG)
- Air temperature less than or equal to 450°C
- Furnace temperature less than or equal to 1250°C
- Burner load á 80%
The reported value is the expected one. The guaranteed value will be fixed case by case according to furnace type and working conditions.
(*) The emission values are subject to variation according to specific fuel analysis (fuel NOx).
