TRGX Flameless Regenerative Burners
By combining flameless combustion with regenerative technology, our TRGX burners provide state-of-the-art performance in terms of both excellent combustion efficiency and the reduction of CO2 and NOx emissions.
Overview
TRGX burners represent the most advanced solution in terms of industrial burners. Each burner is equipped with a separated regenerator (ceramic solid bed) or with an integrated regenerator (ceramic honeycomb) that is capable of providing very intense combustion air preheating. The ceramic balls in the separated regenerator have a strong resistance to harsh environments and provide simple, fast and cheap maintenance.
Due to the high thermal capacity and specific surface of the regenerators, combustion air can be preheated at about 100° C below the furnace temperature, thus providing a relevant increment in fuel efficiency at any operating condition.
Furthermore, in order to limit thermal NOx formation, their operation is based on flameless combustion. Thanks to the coupled fuel and air staging, NOx emissions are brought down to very low levels. The TRGX burners work in two successive phases: at first the burner recovers heat from flue gases by passing them inside the regenerator. Then, the burner is switched in firing phase and the air passes through the hot regenerator and it is preheated before being injected inside the furnace.
