TSX Flameless Burners
The frontline of ultra-low NOx technology of side and frontal burners. TSX burners minimize NOx and CO emissions by combining gas and air staging with flameless technology.
Overview
The TSX burner represents the latest generation of side and frontal burners; with coupled gas and air staging, NOx emissions are brought down to 40 mg/Nm3. Specially designed for steel reheating furnaces requiring very low NOx emissions, the TSX burner is a coupled staged burner, which operates with internal air staging and external gas staging.
TSX minimizes NOx and CO emissions through optimised mixing of air and gas flows; it can operate with excess air as low as 5% up to 20%, granting in the whole operative range outstanding fuel efficiency and excellent flexibility.
TSX burners air staging is achieved through an optimised baffle geometry, without the adoption of any moving mechanical part (no valves on hot air are required).

Fuels: Natural Gas, COG, LPG (and hydrogen mixtures of them).
Turn down:
10%-80% for flame mode
40%-100% for flameless mode
Innovation
Flame mode allows for furnaces to heat up with a well-developed and anchored flame that is easily detected by UV sensors.
Flameless mode can be switched on when the furnace temperature is above the self-ignition temperature of the fuel. This operating mode can minimize NOx emissions levels to as low as 40 mg/Nm3.

Environment
NOx emissions: 70 mg/Nm3 @ 3% O2 for Natural Gas
The emissions are referenced for these operating conditions:
- Air excess 5%
- Air temperature less than or equal to 520°C
- Furnace temperature less than or equal to 1250°C
- Burner load á 80%
