Single Stand Six High Cold Reversing Mill for Carbon Steel
With intermediate roll shifting and horizontal roll stabilization, it is designed for high production of wide and thin gauge strip with superior thickness and flatness tolerances. Available features include: Automatic Flatness Control (AFC); Hydraulic Gauge Control (HGC), Selective Strip Cooling, Positive and Negative roll bending, Quick roll change system.
Overview
Housings of machined cast steel in columnar design attached to bed plates by bolting. Bed plates are anchored to the foundation and grouted into place.
Front & Rear housings are joint together by heavy welded spreaders
Roll Gap Adjustment is made by two hydraulic cylinders mounted on the bottom of the housing equipped with High accuracy linear Encoder to precisely control roll position.
Work Rolls in alloyed forged steel with air oil lubrication for taper roller bearings. Rolls are driven through the main cinematic chain.
Intermediate rolls in alloyed forged steel idle type with air oil lubrication for taper roller bearings
Back Up rolls in alloyed forged steel, idle type with air oil lubrication for 4 Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings. Equipped with thrust bearings 2 row tapered roller type
Mae West Bending Blocks equipped with double acting hydraulic cylinders for applying positive and negative roll bending to the necks of work rolls and Intermediate rolls.
Intermediate Roll Shifting device is hydraulically operated. Top and bottom Intermediate Rolls is shifted in opposite directions to provide compensation for various strip widths and strip shape issues.
Pass line adjustment located on top of the mill housing is made with step & wedge arrangements. Steps provide incremental adjustment and wedges provide fine adjustment within all required range. Pass line adjustment is operated by hydraulic cylinders.
